WHEREAS, Generations of immigrants from across Europe and

around the world made Luzerne County their home, creating a

county's neighborhoods, churches, festivals, traditions and

cuisine; and

WHEREAS, Luzerne County is home to the cities of Wilkes-

Barre, Hazleton, Nanticoke and Pittston, along with numerous
